Since 2011, Kantar International Summit has been held annually in various parts of the world.Summit enables leaders from the TV and video & wider media eco-system to connect and discuss challenges and opportunities facing the industry. The goal of Kantar Summit is for all participants to leave with a greater understanding of best practice and a challenge to innovate, enhancing the media measurement space in their own market, all the while creating meaningful and long-lasting connections. The Summit is the most geographically diverse event of its kind. Representatives of various successful companies around the world attend it.
Tri Media Intelligence was launched in 2016. Representatives of the company and their guests (2 per year) attend the summit annually. 2020 was no exception. The tree-day summit was scheduled on 30th June-2nd July, 2020 in Budapest. However, due to the pandemic it was held online. Ana Lordkipanidze, Director of Tri Media Intelligence and two clients of the company took part in it. The conference focused on the impact of the Corona virus on the world's media as well as technological innovations in media measurement sphere. The speakers, representatives of various major companies around the world shared their experiences with participants. Many famous individuals were represented as speakers, such as: Alejandro Betancourt Buzás (LATAM Brand Director, P&G), Andy Pilkington (Europe Media Director, adidas), Sharon Hegarty (IM Marketing Director, Samsung), Belinda Beeftink (Research Director, IPA), Americo Martins (VP, Content, CNN Brasil) and others. They talked about the challenges and difficulties faced by many of the world's largest companies due to the pandemic. They also talked about the examples of their own countries in overcoming these challenges.
Ultimately, despite the online format, the summit was fruitful. The Summit will return in 2021, marking their tenth in-person event. Dates will be announced in July 2020.
