TMI is pleased to announce that our Director of Research and Strategic Development, Ani Lordkipanidze, has been chosen to represent Georgia in the World Association for Public Opinion Research (WAPOR). WAPOR is an international professional association whose members recognize the importance of public opinion in shaping and serving society. Ani Lordkipanidze commented: “It is a great honor and responsibility to be chosen as a national representative of WAPOR for Georgia. WAPOR is an internationally respected organization, established in 1947, which sets standards for public opinion research. I am delighted that I have the privilege to represent Georgia in this organization”.

David Jodice, Vice President and President-Elect of WAPOR noted: “WAPOR’s network of National Representatives, now in almost 120 countries, is WAPOR’s voice across the globe and each country’s key voice back to WAPOR. The National Representatives comprise survey practitioners, academics, and end-users of opinion polls (journalists, NGO-based researchers, and governments). They support WAPOR’s key mission which is to defend the Freedoms to Conduct and Publish Public Opinion Polls.”

Executive Director of WAPOR, Kseniya Kizilova also commented: “WAPOR's mission on promoting the freedom to conduct and publish public opinion research, and setting up professional standards for this, comprise the cornerstone of the Association's activities. Our National Representatives, who become the voice of WAPOR on the ground and help WAPOR grow, are a crucial force that fosters the successful implementation of these goals. We are delighted to welcome Ani Lordkipanidze as the WAPOR National Representative for Georgia and very much look forward to working with her in the next years to promote the knowledge, standards, values, and norms for opinion polling".
