UEFA Nations League June Matches

From June 2, 2022 to June 12, 2022, the Georgian national team played four matches, including two home and two away matches.

The Georgians held the first match on June 2, at "Dinamo Arena" against Gibraltar, the hosts won convincingly, with the score 4:0. The match started at 20:00 (Tbilisi time) in the evening and it was watched by an average of 87 thousand TV viewers per minute. During the match, 19% of the total TV viewing  was directed at the First Channel of the Public Broadcaster.

The second match was held on June 5, in the city of Razgrad, against the Bulgarian team, and Georgian national team again won convincingly, with a score of 2:5. The match started at 22:45 (Tbilisi time) and was watched by an average of 132 thousand TV viewers per minute, this time the share of the the First Channel of the Public Broadcaster was 32%. On June 5, the First Channel of Public Broadcaster's ranked second position in the list of TV channels.

The third match was held on June 9 in Skopje, between Northern Macedonia and Georgia, the match started at 22:45 (Tbilisi time) and was watched by an average 136 thousand TV viewers per minute, the TV share of the First Channel of the Public Broadcaster was 31%.

The last match of the Georgian national team in month of June was at the "Dinamo Arena" against the Bulgarian national team, on June 12. Despite the fact that all the tickets for the match were sold out and 55,000 people gathered at the stadium, this match had the largest number of TV viewers compared to the previous three matches. The match was watched by an average of 171 thousand people per minute, and the TV share of the First Channel of the Public Broadcaster was 35%. As on June 5, the First Channel of Public Broadcaster's ranked second position in the list of TV channels.

During these four matches, 66% of the TV audience were from Tbilisi and 34% from the region, also 63% of the viewers were men and 37% were women. As the age distribution of the match audience, most, 24% of the viewers were  men aged 18-44, and the least - 4%, in women aged 4-17.

 

The data is based on Tbilisi and 6 cities of Georgia (Rustavi, Gori, Batumi, Kutaisi, Zugdidi, Poti), where “Tri Media Intelligence” operates TAM panel. Data is taken from the population above 4 years including guests and time shifted viewing in the households.
