Presentation of the television audience measuring company in Azerbaijan

On November 17, 2022 an event dedicated to the presentation of the new television measurement system in Azerbaijan was held at the Marriott Hotel in Baku. About a year ago, the local provider MARSA started the process of implementing a new TAM system in Azerbaijan based on KANTAR's latest modern technology (PM7), KANTAR being MARSA's official technology partner in Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by members of the administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, representatives of the Audiovisual Council, as well as representatives of all Azerbaijani TV channels and leading advertising agencies/advertising companies.

The event was also attended by specially invited guests from different countries who supported this project throughout the year, and the second part of the event was devoted to their speeches. Among them was Ana Lortkipanidze, director of strategic development and research of TRI MEDIA INTELLIGENCE, who spoke about the current news and challenges in the region. It is also worth noting that in January 2022 MARSA specialists visited the office of TRI MEDIA INTELLIGENCE in Georgia. TMI shared with the Azerbaijani partners the practice of 6 years of experience and introduced the new technology of KANTAR, which was being introduced in Georgia at that time.

MARSA Executive Director Irada Sultanova noted in her speech that "The TAM system of Azerbaijan is built on the basis of the latest modern PM7 technology, the panel consists of 950 families and includes not only Baku, but also 12 economic regions of the country, 29 cities and 200 villages. Measurements include 50 TV channels, including Turkish and Russian TV channels, and 17 Azerbaijani channels will be monitored. PM7 technology allows to measure all types of signals".
